Wondering how you can help Appetite For Life? The answer is: Just about anyway you want. Whether it's writing a one-time check, making a pledge of regular monthly support, helping in our kitchen or food pantry, driving a delivery route, or lending us your professional expertise, we need you!
Volunteers play an important part at Appetite for Life, they are the backbone of our agency.
Volunteer Opportunities
IN THE KITCHEN
You can volunteer in our kitchen in a number of ways from prepping and packaging meals to baking cakes for our Celebration of Life, where each client receives a cake delivered with their meals on their birthday.
ON THE ROAD
You can deliver the clients meals directly to them on one of the delivery routes. Deliveries are made on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 9:00 and 11:00 am.
FOOD PANTRY
Help is needed in the following areas, man the desk, stock the shelves, or shop for the food pantry.
ADMINISTRATIVE
You could help us file, answer phones, update information, help design our newsletter, Or work with the lending library by donating books, books on tape, videos, and players.
FUNDRAISING
Small donations make big impacts from a one time donation, working with one of our fundraising committees, writing grants,organizing food drives or donating gifts like blankets, quilts, and toys for the children for holiday presents.
